Wiesbaden and surroundings
Crew apartment Raunheim
Raunheim lies in the district of Groß-Gerau on the south bank of the Main and borders directly on the grounds of Frankfurt Airport. For assembly teams, the location counts above all: the Mönchhof logistics hub, the proximity to CargoCity and the airport, and the direct access to the A3. This page covers Raunheim itself; the whole region is covered on our home page.

Mönchhof logistics hub by the airport
On the site of the former Caltex refinery, Fraport AG has been developing the Mönchhof commercial estate (Airpark) as a logistics hub since 2004, plus the Airgate One and Airport Garden areas. The direct border with the airport makes the airport surrounds with CargoCity a job site. A major employer within the city area is Lufthansa Systems with around 1,000 employees.
Access to the A3 and the Mönchhof-Dreieck
The Raunheim junction lies around two kilometres away on the A3; the Mönchhof-Dreieck, where the A3 and A67 meet, lies within the Raunheim city limits in the immediate vicinity of the airport. The van is thus quickly on the motorway towards Frankfurt, Cologne or Wiesbaden.
S8 and S9 every 15 minutes
Raunheim station is on the Mainz-Frankfurt line and is served by the S8 and S9 lines, each every 30 minutes, together every 15 minutes. Both lines stop at Frankfurt Airport; the S8 runs via Mainz to Wiesbaden, the S9 via Mainz-Kastel. Many job sites are thus reachable without your own car.
